Dupatta dos and don’ts

No accessory perks up an outfit like a dupatta does.

This modest piece of fabric may be not be sighted as often on the Indian ramp these days but it still makes for a pretty wonderful addition to an outfit, especially an Indian one. Just don't get caught in the rut of draping a simple dupatta over your outfit. As these ladies demonstrate, a dupatta in a quirky print or a one in a festive fabric can instantly uplift an outfit by several sartorial notches without much fuss.

Chitrangda literally scores high points with this pacman motif dupatta that she pairs with a plain white suit for maximum impact. Huma, on the other hand, follows the sheer trend with a bright dupatta. She keeps her accessories safe by choosing to go with gold footwear and earrings. You can also go boho with your dupatta and drape it around like a stole.

The modest dupatta is not necessarily something that you always need to match with the colour of your kurta Think unconventional and transform your look with an interesting dupatta combo.
